We aspire with God’s help to be: A believing, caring, worshipping Christian Community • Where people would feel welcome • Where people would feel they belong • Where people would feel that their talents were recognised and utilised. • Where people would accept responsibility for their parish and participate in running it • Where priest and people would work together in partnership to build up a dynamic Christian Community • Where the sick, the elderly, and the lonely would be cared for. • Where children and young people would be cherished, listened to and involved. • Where the liturgy would be varied to suit different age groups and ceremonies developed with more participation by the laity. • Where faith would be developed through prayer, sacraments, scripture study and faith development courses. • Where a helping hand would be held out to the less fortunate areas of our Archdiocese. |
